New architectural renderings have been released, providing the first visual look at a 250,000-square-foot Scheels store. The sporting goods retailer is set to anchor a major redevelopment project in Blaine, Minnesota. This development is part of a larger entertainment district known as The Farm, which is currently under construction near the National Sports Center.

The project includes a 5,000-seat minor league baseball stadium alongside the retail space. Both facilities are on track to open in early 2028. Bader Companies and Elevage are serving as the co-developers for this initiative. Blaine Mayor Tim Sanders described the effort as one of the most significant private investments in the suburb's history.

In a press release, Sanders stated that the project will create jobs and attract new businesses and visitors. He noted that it will expand entertainment and dining options while building on the area's reputation for sports and recreation. Sanders expressed excitement about seeing the vision take shape and its lasting impact on the community.

The new Scheels location will be the retailer's second store in the Twin Cities region. It is expected to feature similar attractions to the existing Eden Prairie location. These features include a Ferris wheel and a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium that displays over 600 fish.

The Blaine City Council is scheduled to vote on a signage request related to the project on Monday night. No further details regarding the specific signage or the outcome of the vote were provided in the source material.

Scheels employs about 510 people in The Colony, according to local government records.
