Topgolf and First Tee have renewed their partnership to expand access to golf for young people. The agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the sports and entertainment company and the youth development organization. The collaboration aims to introduce more children and teenagers to the sport while helping them develop character and life skills.
The renewed partnership will utilize Topgolf's nationwide network of venues alongside First Tee's educational programs. Topgolf has supported First Tee initiatives for many years, including serving as a trustee and strategic partner. The company's media division promotes First Tee's programs on more than 28,000 digital screens across its venues. Additionally, Topgolf has supported Chapter programming at over 25 locations and facilitated alumni engagement.
To celebrate the renewed agreement, First Tee participants and alumni can receive a $20 discount on game play at participating Topgolf venues through December 30. The offer is intended to make the sport more accessible and encourage continued participation. Topgolf stated that youth golf participation has increased by 40% over the past five years.
The collaboration supports Topgolf's goal of creating 10 million new, committed golfers by 2030. This target includes three million women golfers. First Tee CEO Greg McLaughlin noted that Topgolf's environment provides an engaging introduction to the game for young people. He expressed gratitude for the company's support of First Tee initiatives.
Topgolf CEO David McKillips described First Tee as a trusted organization in youth golf. He emphasized the shared commitment to expanding access to the sport and its associated life skills. The partnership reflects a focus on inspiring participation and building confidence among golfers at all stages.
First Tee reaches more than 3.1 million children and teens annually. The organization operates through a network of 150 U.S. chapters, 2,000 program locations, and 12,000 schools and youth centers. The programs use golf as a vehicle to develop resilience and essential life skills.
