The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a one-year extension with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy, a deal reportedly worth $6 million. The contract is expected to be signed this week and would keep him with Dallas through the 2027 season.
The agreement gives the Cowboys another year of control and changes Flournoy’s contract outlook after 2026. He had been set to enter restricted-free-agent status following that season. Flournoy now has three seasons remaining under the contract that replaced his original four-year rookie deal, rather than facing that additional free-agent period.
Dallas selected Flournoy in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. The team waived him during its first roster reductions in 2025, but he cleared waivers and returned through the practice squad. The extension follows what the Cowboys called a breakout 2025 season and comes before the regular-season opener against the New York Giants.
It provides chances for further development in 2026 and 2027, while a longer deal could remain possible later. Dallas also recently reached a three-year extension agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
