The Cowboys agreed this week to extensions that could pay Ryan Flournoy and Brevyn Spann-Ford as much as $24 million combined. The contracts keep both players with Dallas beyond the 2026 season, with Spann-Ford signed through 2029.
Flournoy’s one-season extension is worth up to $6 million and follows a 2025 season in which he made 40 catches for 475 yards and four touchdowns. The source reported that he is expected to become the team’s established No. 3 receiver. His size and athletic ability allow him to play all three receiver spots in Dallas’ 11-personnel formations.
The agreement could help preserve continuity among the Cowboys’ top receivers if George Pickens leaves after the current season.
Spann-Ford’s three-year deal includes up to $18 million, with $12.075 million guaranteed. He joined the NFL in 2024 as an undrafted free agent and competed with Luke Schoonmaker for a backup role behind Jake Ferguson last season. The extensions differ from the Cowboys’ earlier practice of waiting for players to prove themselves.
