The Wastewater division will complete a smoke-testing program on portions of the wastewater system in The Colony this Thursday and Friday, Oct. 1 and 2. The work is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
This season's testing will occur in the Eastvale neighborhood. Crews will inspect specific streets within this area, including W. Lake Highlands Drive, N. Shore Drive, W. Shore Drive, Lakeview Drive, Lakecrest Drive, N. Horseshoe Trail, S. Horseshoe Trail, Lakeland Drive, and Bevily Drive.
During the testing process, crews will introduce a non-toxic, water-based testing smoke or vapor into the sanitary sewer system. Following the introduction of the vapor, crews will inspect the area to identify locations where the vapor becomes visible. This method allows for the detection of potential issues within the underground infrastructure.
