The City of The Colony is hosting a free Back 2 School Bash to help local families prepare for the upcoming academic year. The event will provide school supplies to the first 500 registered students entering pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Registration for the event opens on July 1.

To manage attendance and ensure an organized experience, the event will be divided into two 90-minute sessions, with a capacity of 250 children per session. Families must select their preferred session time during the online registration process. The event is presented by Keep The Colony Beautiful and sponsored by V EYE P Eyecare & Eyewear.

In addition to school supplies, registered students will receive free eye screenings. The event will also feature community resources and opportunities for families to connect with local organizations. The City of The Colony Parks and Recreation Department stated that the event aims to support the community and help students start the school year feeling confident and prepared.

Space is limited, and advanced registration is required. Families are encouraged to register as soon as registration opens on July 1. For more information and to complete registration, residents can visit PlayTC.com.

This announcement is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to support local residents. Other recent city updates include customer service closures, information on urban wildlife, the Culture Series, and election filing periods. The Back 2 School Bash is designed to assist families in gearing up for a successful school year through direct resource distribution and community engagement.
