The Colony's schools belong to Lewisville ISD, which earned a B in the Texas Education Agency's 2026 accountability ratings with an overall score of 83.

Across 56 rated campuses the district produced 17 A ratings, 14 B, 16 C, eight D and one F.

The range

Old Settlers Elementary and Bluebonnet Elementary tied for the district's highest score at 96, with Flower Mound High School at 94. All three earned an A.

At the other end, Delay Middle School scored 59, an F, and Huffines Middle School 60, a D. Parkway Elementary scored 65, also a D.

Unusually, the district's weakest campuses are concentrated at the middle school level rather than in elementary grades, which is where most neighboring districts carry their lowest ratings.

The domains

Lewisville scored 83 in both student achievement and closing the gaps, both B ratings.

School progress came in at 79 and academic growth at 79, both C ratings, meaning the district's year-over-year improvement lagged its raw performance.

A large district across many towns

Lewisville ISD enrolls 46,328 students across 57 schools spread over multiple cities, including The Colony, Flower Mound, Lewisville and Highland Village.

That geographic spread matters when reading a single district grade. A B describes the system as a whole; it does not describe any particular campus, and in a district with a 37-point range between its best and worst school, the campus-level report is the more useful document.
