Sazon De Loa, a Mexican restaurant on Renner Road in Plano, is actively recruiting staff following a sudden and significant increase in customer traffic. The surge in business occurred after a video posted by the owner’s 15-year-old daughter, Leslie De Loa, went viral on TikTok. The restaurant, which specializes in authentic cuisine prepared by chef and owner Rafael De Loa, had been struggling with low attendance just weeks prior.

Leslie De Loa posted a video asking for support for her family’s business. In the clip, she explained that the restaurant was not receiving enough visitors and urged people to come dine. She highlighted her father’s hard work and invited the community to enjoy the food and drinks. The video gained widespread attention after being shared by TikToker Bucky Wild Child, who has more than 110,000 followers and had visited the Renner Road location earlier in the week.

The post attracted a large number of diners, transforming the previously quiet establishment into a busy hotspot. Customers began traveling from various distances to support the business. Jhazmin Martinez stated she saw the video and decided to visit for a date night. Jesus Martinez, another patron, noted the food was delicious. Many visitors expressed surprise at the size of the crowd upon arrival.

Diego Osorio, a customer, said he was taken aback by the volume of people but remained patient with the wait times. He expected a modest turnout but found the restaurant packed. C.J. Nelson agreed that the longer wait was acceptable given the quality of the food. Leslie De Loa expressed amazement at the community’s willingness to spend their time visiting the restaurant.

Rafael De Loa described the turnaround as a miracle for the business, which has operated for nearly two years. He noted that the previous lack of customers meant there were no waiters willing to work for tips. Now, he faces the challenge of managing the influx of patrons. He stated he is working extremely long hours to keep up with demand. The restaurant is currently hiring to address the staffing shortage caused by the unexpected popularity.

Plano is about 12 miles east of The Colony.
