Free Christmas Spectacular light show returns to Central Firehouse Dec. 5 through Jan. 3

The Colony's holiday light show at Central Firehouse is coming back for a month-long run, the city's Parks and Recreation Department announced Thursday.

The Colony Christmas Spectacular opens Saturday, Dec. 5, at the firehouse, 4900 Blair Oaks Drive, and runs nightly through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027. It is free.

The lights are programmed to move with holiday music. Visitors tune a car radio to 99.9 FM and can watch from their vehicles or step out and watch nearby, the city said.

Hours

Sunday through Thursday: 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 5:30 to 10:50 p.m.

The show's opening night is the same day as two other city holiday events. Holiday in the Park takes over Perryman Park on Dec. 5, and the Parade of Lights steps off at 6:45 p.m. that evening from Peters Colony Elementary, heading west on Nash Drive and south on Blair Oaks Drive, according to separate city announcements posted Thursday.

The light show is backed by local sponsors at several levels, the city said. Questions can go to Parks and Recreation at 972-625-1106.
