Canzone’s Offensive Explosion
Dominic Canzone provided the critical offensive spark for the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, driving in four runs with a three-home-run performance that ultimately decided the outcome against the Texas Rangers. Canzone’s efforts included a decisive three-run blast in the seventh inning and a later RBI double, helping Seattle secure a 6-4 victory at Globe Life Field.
The Mariners’ victory was not without early struggles. Texas took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Adolis Duran hit a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Evan Carter to score. The Rangers tied the game in the third inning when Marcus Semien singled to left, scoring Corey Seager.
Seattle regained the lead in the fourth inning, capitalizing on consecutive hits to put runners in scoring position. Carter’s single to right allowed Josh Jung to score, followed by a groundout that brought another run home, giving the Mariners a 3-1 advantage.

Tyler Alexander and Cole Winn each allowed runs, with Winn taking the loss. Ben Peoples and Peyton Gray closed out the final innings for Texas, combining to pitch two innings.
