Rangers take control in the third
Langford scored the run that held up in the third inning, coming home on Nimmo’s single to right, and the Texas Rangers went on to beat the San Francisco Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
The Rangers added three more runs in the same inning. Foscue tripled to left to score Nimmo and Burger, pushing Texas ahead 3-0. Díaz followed with a double to left that brought in Foscue for a 4-0 lead.
Bradford sets the tone
Cody Bradford worked 4 1/3 innings for Texas, allowing five hits with no earned runs, two walks and five strikeouts. The Giants did not score against him, and the Rangers’ bullpen kept San Francisco off the board the rest of the way.
Tyler Alexander earned the win, moving to 2-2. He pitched 1 2/3 innings without allowing a hit or a walk and struck out three. Robby Ahlstrom gave up one hit in one inning with one strikeout. Chase Silseth allowed one hit and one walk in one inning with one strikeout, and Cole Winn allowed one hit in one inning.
Nimmo adds the only homer
Texas made it 5-0 in the fifth when Nimmo homered to left, a 350-foot shot. It was the only home run of the game.
