Duran supplies the last run
Duran hit a ground rule double in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring Burger and giving the Texas Rangers a 5-4 win over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
Duran drove in four of Texas' five runs. He had an RBI single in the first inning, a two-run double in the eighth and the deciding double in the ninth. The announced attendance in Arlington, Texas, was 26,959.
Texas builds the early lead
The Rangers went ahead 2-0 in the first inning. Nimmo doubled to right, scoring Pederson and moving Seager to third. Duran followed with a single to right that scored Seager and sent Nimmo to third.

Giants rally, Rangers answer
San Francisco tied the game 2-2 in the seventh inning when Basabe homered to left, a 377-foot drive that scored Gilbert. It was the only home run of the game.
