The Houston Texans are preparing for three games against teams that were among the NFL's 12 highest-scoring offenses last season, with starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o expected to miss time because of a shoulder injury. Houston's next opponents are Cincinnati at home, Indianapolis on the road and Dallas at home.
To'oTo'o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter of Houston's 36-31 loss to Buffalo while tackling Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance to get up, went to the sideline and did not return. Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that the team has not decided whether to place the linebacker on injured reserve.
Houston selected To'oTo'o in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. In August, he agreed to a two-season extension worth $16 million. Buffalo's 36 points were Houston's second-highest total allowed during Ryans' tenure.
The Texans surrendered 37 points to Tampa Bay in 2023, and the loss to Buffalo was their first game allowing more than 30 points since Baltimore scored 31 on Christmas in 2024. ESPN reported the injury update.
