According to ESPN, the deal includes $102 million in guaranteed money.
The timing of the announcement coincides with the start of the new NFL season, which begins Wednesday with a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. This contest serves as a rematch of Super Bowl LX, where the Patriots fell to the Seahawks by a score of 29-13. Despite the loss, Gonzalez contributed three tackles and three pass breakups during that game.
