The Keep The Colony Beautiful Board has announced a Recycled Art Project contest open to all residents of The Colony. This year’s theme is "The Colony: Past, Present & Future," encouraging artists to showcase the city's history, current state, or imagined future.
Artwork may utilize any medium of recycled materials found during cleanup initiatives or from personal recycling bins. While general art supplies such as glue, tape, wire, twine, paint, markers, crayons, and map pencils are permitted, the majority of the piece must consist of recycled materials. Participants are prohibited from using soiled trash, food waste, or hazardous materials.
The artwork must highlight The Colony themes, attributes, landmarks, or offer a creative interpretation of the theme. Entries must not display the artist's name or identifying information on the front and must be free of vulgar or inappropriate content. Sculptures and three-dimensional pieces must be stable and freestanding.
