Dominant Pitching Performance
Taj Bradley established control early, striking out 11 batters while allowing just one earned run over five innings to secure the win for Minnesota. The Twins’ starter worked through a difficult first inning, surrendering two runs after giving up four hits and five walks. Despite the early deficit, Bradley settled in, limiting further damage until he departed the game.
Minnesota’s bullpen maintained the lead with precision. Cody Laweryson pitched 0.2 innings, followed by Andrew Morris, who recorded the save with 1.1 scoreless frames. Taylor Rogers and Yoendrys Gomez each completed a perfect inning of relief, combining for two strikeouts to close out the contest.
Early Scoring Surge
The Twins seized the lead in the top of the first inning when Bell launched a 452-foot home run to center field, driving in Larnach to make it 2-0. Houston responded in the bottom of the frame, with Altuve scoring on a ground ball by Paredes that resulted in a double play, cutting the margin to 2-1.
Minnesota expanded its advantage in the second inning. Clemens hit a 399-foot home run to right-center field, bringing home Keaschall and Lee to turn a 2-1 game into a 5-1 lead. The Twins continued to apply pressure in the fifth inning when Larnach singled to center field, allowing Caratini and Keaschall to score and extend the lead to 7-1.
