Dallas jumped out to a 14-0 advantage in the first quarter. The scoring began when Milton connected with Malik Davis on an 8-yard pass, followed by Brandon Aubrey’s kick. The second quarter saw continued dominance from the Cowboys' offense and defense. Milton added to his personal tally with a 1-yard rushing touchdown, extending the lead to 21-0 before Chad Ryland kicked a 38-yard field goal for Arizona, making it 21-3. The Cardinals narrowed the gap slightly before halftime when Ryland booted a 31-yard field goal, bringing the score to 21-6.
Brandon Aubrey capped the half with a 50-yard field goal, pushing the margin to 24-6.
Arizona showed life in the third quarter when Corey Kiner rushed for a 1-yard touchdown, cutting the deficit to 24-7 after Ryland’s extra point. However, the Cowboys responded immediately with another Aubrey field goal, this one from 29 yards out, making it 27-13.
