A frozen turkey is the price of admission to meet two Dallas Cowboys players at WorldSprings Dallas next Friday, Oct. 23.

Marist Liufau and Brevyn Spann-Ford are scheduled to greet donors from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the drive, which WorldSprings is holding with Galaxy Theatres, Local Profile reported. The turkeys go to a nonprofit, NTX Community Food Pantry, whose service area covers Lewisville, Carrollton, Frisco, Little Elm and The Colony.

How it works

People who bring a frozen turkey can meet the two players, pose for photos and get autographs, according to the report. Each turkey also counts as one entry in a prize drawing that includes tickets to a Cowboys game, signed memorabilia, team merchandise and gift baskets.

The food pantry says it helps more than 600 families a month, and Local Profile reported that community donations are a key part of that work. The drive is meant to help families get ready for Thanksgiving, the report said.

WorldSprings lists its Dallas location in The Colony. The report does not give a goal for how many turkeys organizers hope to collect.
