Duran Powers Rangers Past Brewers
The Texas Rangers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Sunday, August 30, at American Family Field. Ezequiel Duran was the offensive catalyst, driving in two runs and collecting multiple hits in a performance that helped the visitors secure the victory. The win improved the Rangers' record to 67-70, while the Brewers fell to 85-52 in front of a crowd of 37,996.
Early Brewers Lead
Milwaukee struck first in the top of the first inning. Connor Bauers singled to right, allowing Sal Freese to score. Shortly after, Chourio singled to left, scoring Mitchell.
The Brewers added another run in the second when Diaz hit a ground-rule double that scored Freeman. Dustin May started for Milwaukee, allowing four runs on six hits over 4.1 innings while walking three and striking out four. He took the loss, dropping to 6-9.
Rangers Respond
The Rangers tied the game in the third inning when Duran hit a 410-foot home run to left-center field. In the fifth, Duran hit another ground-rule double, scoring Langford and Seager to give Texas a 4-2 lead. The Brewers cut the deficit in the sixth when Pederson homered to right for 380 feet.
