Aggies Build Massive Lead Early
Texas A&M Aggies (1-0) dismantled the visiting Missouri State Bears (0-1) 50-0 on Saturday at Kyle Field in College Station. The home team established an early, insurmountable advantage, scoring nine points in the first quarter alone. The Bears were shut out entirely, failing to register a single point against the Aggies' defense in front of an attendance of 107,782.
The first quarter set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Marcel Reed connected with Isaiah Horton on a 15-yard pass for a touchdown, followed by a safety that extended the lead to 9-0. Texas A&M continued its offensive rhythm in the second quarter, adding a 28-yard field goal by David Olano and another touchdown pass from Reed to Mario Craver.
The Aggies led 19-0 at halftime, having already put 19 points on the board while keeping the Bears' offense completely stagnant.
Second Half Dominance
The third quarter saw Texas A&M expand its lead further with two rushing touchdowns. Terry Bussey carried the ball 10 yards for a score, followed immediately by a two-yard run from Jamarion Morrow. The Aggies led 33-0 entering the final period, having scored 14 points in the third quarter.
Missouri State’s best effort came from Skyler Locklear, who completed 8 of 17 passes for 30 yards, but the Bears could not generate a scoring drive.
