The Houston Texans have signed running back Deuce Vaughn, previously with the Denver Broncos, as announced by the team on Monday. Vaughn, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds, spent the entire 2025 season on the Broncos' practice squad after joining in September of the previous year. He rejoined Denver on a reserve/future contract in January but was released in May.

After his departure from the Broncos, Vaughn played for the UFL's Orlando Storm before making his return to the NFL with the Texans.

To make room for Vaughn, the Texans waived former Broncos wide receiver Juwann Winfree. The team also held workouts with running back Blake Watson and former Denver receiver Josh Reynolds, as reported by the NFL's transaction wire.

Currently, four other former Broncos practice squad players remain free agents after their contracts expired in February. These include quarterback Ben DiNucci, tight ends Marcedes Lewis and Patrick Murtagh, and defensive back Delarrin Turner-Yell. Additionally, defensive lineman Jonathan Harris has recently worked out for the Minnesota Vikings. Further details about Vaughn's role with the Texans or Winfree's future plans have not been disclosed.
