The Houston Texans have announced that offensive lineman Sam Hagen has been placed on injured reserve. According to Greg Auman of Fox Sports, the specifics of Hagen's injury have not been disclosed. Hagen, who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 320 pounds, is a rookie who went undrafted after playing at South Dakota State.

During training camp, Hagen made a strong impression, which led to his inclusion on the active roster. This move allows him the possibility of rejoining the team later in the 2026 season, provided he spends at least four games on injured reserve. Further information regarding the nature of his injury has yet to be released.
