The Houston Texans have announced their finalized 53-man roster, which includes Sabastian Harsh, an undrafted rookie defensive end from The Colony. Initially facing long odds to make the team, Harsh's impressive performances during the preseason ultimately secured him a spot.

Harsh shared his feelings of anxiety leading up to the roster announcement, stating, "I talked to my mom, and my dad and I was just kind of waiting for a phone call... Then I seen the roster get released, and I was like, Oh my gosh. Like, that is pretty cool, man."

After missing the first preseason game due to injury, he excelled in his next opportunity against the Carolina Panthers, recording three tackles, one sack, and two quarterback hits, which significantly enhanced his chances of being selected.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans noted Harsh's contributions in both pass rushing and run defense as key factors in his inclusion on the roster. Despite this achievement, Harsh remains committed to improving, expressing, "Even still now, like, I haven't done it yet. So, still got a lot more work to do."

As the season begins, he will have the opportunity to learn from experienced edge rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, with many observing his impact on the Texans' defense in the upcoming season.
