The Houston Texans have yet to establish Nico Collins' status for their Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 27-year-old wide receiver missed Houston's Thursday and Friday practices after being hurt in Wednesday's workout, leaving his availability unresolved.
NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Texans doctors did not consider the hamstring injury serious. Ian Rapoport also said Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show* that the injury did not seem severe, but noted that sitting out both practices reduced Collins' likelihood of playing. His official game designation has not been announced.
Collins began the 2026 season with seven catches, 75 receiving yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Houston's 36-31 defeat against the Buffalo Bills. He had recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards in every one of the last three seasons.
ClutchPoints.com reported that, if Collins cannot face Cincinnati, he might be able to return for Houston's Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27.
