The Houston Texans are looking into the possibility of adding Jaden Davis, a cornerback who formerly played for the Arizona Cardinals. Davis has been medically cleared to compete and took part in a workout with the Texans, according to KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th pick overall. A video shared on social media showcased his readiness to return to play. The Texans are aiming to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been affected by injuries since the 2025 season.

Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is stepping into the nickelback position, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round selection in the 2025 draft, has missed a large part of his rookie year due to injuries.

In The Athletic's draft guide, Davis was highlighted as one of the top remaining prospects. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted that he is a nickel corner with impressive foot speed and agility, but he will need to enhance his anticipation skills to be more effective in the NFL. Further updates regarding Davis's potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as developments unfold.
