Dallas will have four defensive players unavailable Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil: DeMarvion Overshown, P.J. Locke, Malik Hooker and Cobie Durant. None practiced during the week, and none made the trip to Brazil. The absences include three starters. Locke, a third safety and key reserve, also will miss a Baltimore offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
Stephen Jones, the Cowboys’ executive vice president, said Overshown and Hooker might be available for a Week 4 matchup at the Houston Texans. Overshown has a hamstring strain, while Hooker is recovering from a fractured forearm. Both were hurt in the season opener against the Giants and sat out Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Overshown is the defense’s signal caller, but neither player has been cleared, and no source indicated either is likely to return. Durant’s hamstring injury and Locke’s foot injury are not expected to heal in time for Houston.
Dallas finished 2025 with one of the NFL’s three lowest total-defense rankings and sits 29th among the 32 teams through two games this season.
