Noah Brown, previously a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has officially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team. This addition brings a physical presence to the Raiders' receiving group, which required the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to accommodate the roster change.
Brown's career has faced hurdles, particularly with injuries that caused him to miss 19 games during two seasons with the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, he demonstrated his potential when healthy, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.4 yards per catch.
Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after his time at Ohio State, Brown became known for his reliability. He had a notable 2022 season in Dallas, where he recorded 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns, aiding quarterback Dak Prescott.
After his stint with the Cowboys, Brown played for the Houston Texans, contributing 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, with an impressive average of 17.2 yards per reception.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the centerpiece of their offense, his size and experience could enhance their receiving rotation. This signing offers Brown a new opportunity to further his NFL career, especially after battling injuries in Washington.
