Ryan Flournoy will not participate in the Dallas Cowboys' first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Reports indicate that he is not expected to be in uniform for the matchup scheduled for Saturday.

Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer mentioned earlier this month that the starters are likely to sit out for the entirety of the preseason. Although Flournoy will miss this game, he is expected to have several opportunities to build his connection with quarterback Dak Prescott during training camp practices.

Flournoy is projected to take on the No. 3 receiver role for the Cowboys, but his opportunities might be restricted because of the presence of prominent wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Further information regarding Flournoy's role and chances during the preseason is still uncertain.
