Baylor University quarterback DJ Lagway is currently classified as day-to-day due to an ankle injury, as reported by head coach Dave Aranda. The team remains hopeful that Lagway will be fit to participate in the upcoming game against Prairie View A&M.
Lagway suffered the injury during a close 17-16 loss to Auburn in the Bears' season opener. Despite the setback, he completed the game, showcasing his skills by finishing with 27 completions on 54 attempts, totaling 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
His performance included a significant late-game rally, where he connected with teammates on crucial passes, including a 5-yard touchdown pass to Gavin Freeman in the final moments.
Updates on Lagway's recovery are anticipated following practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the team closely monitors his condition.
