Trevon Diggs, a former All-Pro cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys, has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This move comes shortly after the Seahawks added another cornerback, Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal challenges in Florida.

At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He is anticipated to compete for a role in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently managing several injuries.

Previously, Diggs had signed a five-year contract extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys in July 2023. However, he was available for only 22 out of 51 regular-season games in the following three seasons. His departure from Dallas followed a series of incidents, including a peculiar home accident where he reported that a television fell on him, resulting in a prolonged absence in 2025.

The Cowboys eventually waived Diggs after he expressed a desire to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family after a Christmas Day game, a request that the team did not accommodate. He was quickly claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers following his release from Dallas.

Further information regarding Diggs' role with the Seahawks and the team's plans for him is still pending.
