The Colony City Secretary’s Office has announced that the deadline for residents to register to vote in the upcoming City of The Colony City Council Election is Monday, Oct. 5, 2026. The general election is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2026.

Voter registration applications are available at The Colony City Hall, located at 6053 Main St. Residents may also complete their registration online through the city’s designated portal.

The City Secretary’s Office noted that individuals who cannot locate their voter registration card or who need to update their address should contact the Denton County voter registrar directly. The office can be reached at 940-349-3200 for assistance with these matters.

This reminder serves as the final notice for eligible residents to ensure their registration is current before the deadline passes. Those who miss this date will not be able to vote in the Nov. 3 election unless they meet specific emergency or same-day registration requirements, which are not detailed in this announcement.

The City of The Colony encourages all eligible voters to verify their status and submit necessary paperwork well before the Oct. 5 cutoff to avoid any processing delays.
