Universal Destinations & Experiences officially opened Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, marking the company’s debut in the regional theme park sector. The facility is designed specifically for children between the ages of three and eight. Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for Universal Destinations & Experiences, stated in a press release that the park was built with young visitors in mind and expressed satisfaction with the initial reception.
The resort features seven distinct themed zones that showcase characters from various franchises. These areas include DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom. Additional zones highlight Illumination’s Minions in Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, and Puss in Boots Del Mar. The Isle of Curiosity area features Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Accommodations are available on-site through a 300-room hotel located at the park entrance. Each room can accommodate up to six guests. The property offers various family amenities and dining choices. Frisco is about 6 miles northeast of The Colony.
