The Frisco Police Department is requesting public assistance in investigating a robbery that took place at the Frisco Athletic Center on June 29. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the facility around 8 p.m., according to a social media post released by the department on Wednesday.

Responding officers were informed that the robbery followed a pre-arranged meeting between the involved parties. The suspects departed the scene in a blue and white Ford Bronco before law enforcement arrived. Investigators later determined that the vehicle belonged to a resident living near the athletic center.

Officers located the Bronco at a fast-food restaurant a few miles from the Frisco Athletic Center. They interviewed the occupants of the vehicle but discovered that the individual carrying the handgun was not present at that location.

A preliminary investigation conducted by detectives and school resource officers revealed that the individuals involved are juveniles enrolled in the Frisco Independent School District. The police department stated in its post that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.

Frisco is about 6 miles northeast of The Colony.

The department is asking anyone with information regarding this case or related offenses to contact them at 972-292-6010. Residents may also submit anonymous tips by texting FRISCOPD and the tip details to 847411 or by using the Frisco Police Department mobile application.

Further details regarding the specific charges or the current status of the juveniles involved are not yet clear.
