Costco is preparing to open a new warehouse in The Colony, with the store set to launch in October 2026. The facility will occupy a 155,000-square-foot space within the Grandscape development, situated near the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard.
The company is currently recruiting for all available roles through its online platform. While the specific day of the opening has not been listed on the store’s website, the general timeframe for the launch remains October of this year.
This addition is part of a broader corporate strategy to expand its physical footprint. During an earnings call held on May 28, Costco executives discussed their growth targets. The company revised its immediate goal to 26 new store openings but maintains a long-term objective of adding more than 30 new warehouses each year.
Ron Vachris, the company’s president and chief executive officer, stated that the real estate team is actively working to grow the pipeline of new locations both in the United States and abroad. He noted that the organization aims to achieve over 30 net new openings annually in the coming years.
