Universal Kids has officially opened its doors at a new resort destination in Frisco, marking the debut of a family-focused entertainment complex owned by NBCUniversal. The facility, which includes a theme park and an on-site hotel, began welcoming visitors this week, with early arrivals already checking into the property.
The resort features 300 hotel rooms designed with specific themes, along with dining options and a swimming pool. According to park officials, guests staying at the on-site hotel are eligible for early admission to the theme park area. The park generally operates from 10 a.m. until 7 or 8 p.m., though hours vary by day.
Demand for entry tickets has been high. At the time of publication, limited tickets remained available for Friday and Sunday. However, entries for Wednesday and Saturday, July 4, were fully sold out. Officials have advised visitors to stay hydrated and seek shade during their time at the park.
Local residents have expressed enthusiasm for the new development. Breshelle West of Frisco stated she was excited about the opening. Jeremy Li, a resident of Celina, noted that he had watched the construction progress daily while commuting to work and shared his anticipation for the final result.
The resort is located near the Dallas North Tollway. Frisco is about 6 miles northeast of The Colony.
