Lewisville is about 7 miles west of The Colony.

A fire caused damage to the roof of Killough High School in Lewisville on Tuesday night, according to local officials. Fire crews arrived at the campus, located on North Summit Avenue, shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed black smoke emitting from the building's roof. Crews began cutting openings in the roof structure to ventilate the smoke. Teams also worked inside the facility to ensure that no fire was active within the interior of the building.

The situation required a third alarm to be called to provide additional manpower, as crews reported that ventilating the roof was difficult. No injuries were reported. Officials stated that no one was inside the building at the time the fire was discovered.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Further details regarding the extent of the damage or the timeline for repairs have not yet been provided.
