Frisco Police are investigating a robbery that took place in the parking lot of the Frisco Athletic Center on June 29. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. and involved a firearm, according to a police press release issued on July 1.

Officers responded to the scene and learned that the suspects departed in a blue and white Ford Bronco before they arrived. The vehicle was later found at a fast-food restaurant located a few miles from the athletic center. Police determined that the Bronco belonged to a resident living near the facility.

Investigators interviewed individuals associated with the vehicle but noted that the person carrying the handgun was not present during those interviews. The preliminary investigation, conducted with help from detectives and school resource officers, identified the individuals involved as juveniles enrolled in the Frisco Independent School District.

Frisco is about 6 miles northeast of The Colony. Authorities stated that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.

The Frisco Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case or related offenses to contact them. Residents can call (972) 292-6010. Anonymous tips may also be submitted by texting FRISCOPD and the tip details to 847411 or through the Frisco PD app.

Further details regarding the specific charges or the condition of any victims were not provided in the initial release.
