The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9404, while the national average is $4.4874. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 24 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.6854, drivers are paying about 120 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.8667 per gallon, AAA reported.
