The Colony, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.1950 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 7, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.2090 yesterday. That is up from $3.1470 a week ago but lower than $3.5370 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3200, while the national average is $3.7900. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 34 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.6870, drivers are paying about 51 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.1770 per gallon, AAA reported.
