Topgolf officially welcomed the public to its newest facility in Parsippany on Friday, July 3. The opening ceremony took place the previous day, marking the debut of the company’s 102nd venue nationwide. Located along Route 46, this site is the third Topgolf location in New Jersey, following venues in Edison and Mount Laurel.
The Parsippany complex introduces what the company calls "Topgolf 2.0," a prototype design incorporating new technology enhancements. Key features include a sunken outfield layout intended to provide first-floor patrons with views comparable to upper levels, reimagined target fields, and slope adjustments. The three-story structure spans 67,500 square feet and contains 102 driving bays.
Guests can utilize advanced shot-tracking systems or participate in interactive games designed for various skill levels. A new digital service called "My Bay, My Way" allows patrons to customize their experience via smartphone, including ordering food, controlling television access, and recording game highlights.
State Senator Joseph Pennacchio attended the July 2 grand opening, presenting a legislative proclamation that described the event as a benchmark for Parsippany’s future. He thanked both the developers and construction workers involved in the project. Pennacchio also joked about the extreme heat during the holiday weekend, referencing promotional materials that called the opening "the hottest ticket in town."
The property was acquired by a developer for $10.5 million after four office buildings on the site were demolished the previous year. Construction began in June 2025 with an investment of $30 million. The company stated the project would create 400 new jobs in the area.
Topgolf CEO David McKillips, who assumed his role in February, attended the event. McKillips noted that he grew up in neighboring Montville and had previously played at Parsippany’s Knoll Golf Club utility course. He described the opening as a homecoming and praised the neighborhood for being family-friendly.
