Dallas scored before the first minute was over, but spent the final two periods chasing an equalizer in a 2-1 loss to Nashville at Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 3, 2026.

Miro Heiskanen put the Stars ahead after just 47 seconds. Nashville answered twice on the power play: Steven Stamkos tied it, then Nils Hoglander supplied the go-ahead goal before the first intermission.

The scoring stopped there. Juuse Saros finished with 29 saves, turning away every Dallas attempt after Heiskanen’s goal.

Dallas outshot Nashville 12-6 in the third period and 30-26 overall, but the extra pressure didn’t change the score. Casey DeSmith made 24 saves for the Stars.
