Nine candidates are running for The Colony City Council Places 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the Nov. 3 ballot; early voting at the Annex Building starts Oct. 19.

Four seats on The Colony City Council are on the Nov. 3 ballot, and every one of them is contested, according to Denton County's contest list for the election.

The candidates, in ballot order:

  • Place 3: Brian R. Wade and Eldon J. Pipes
  • Place 4: Dan McNew, Dan Rainey and Tim Costello
  • Place 5: Perry Schrag and Matthew Michaelson
  • Place 6: Matthew Wheeler and Joel Marks

The ballot shows no party labels beside these names.

Above the council contests sit the federal, statewide, legislative and county races, including the contest for county judge. The full countywide list is in our Denton County voter guide.

Registration closes Monday, Oct. 5. In-person early voting runs Oct. 19 through Oct. 30, and The Colony Annex Building at 6804 Main St. is one of the county's early voting sites. On Nov. 3, Election Day, polling places stay open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Locations and the county's contest list are posted at votedenton.gov.
