Costco's new warehouse at Grandscape is three days from opening, and its gas station is already pumping.

The company's location page for the store at 6060 Grandscape Blvd. lists Friday, Oct. 16, as the warehouse opening date. The same page lists Oct. 5 as the opening date for the gas station, which it showed as reopening at 6 a.m. Tuesday when checked overnight. Warehouse shopping hours were not posted.

Departments and services listed for the store include a bakery, fresh deli, fish, meat and produce counters, a pizza kitchen, rotisserie chicken, beer and wine, furniture, home improvement, an optometrist and a pharmacy kiosk. The page gives the warehouse phone number as 469-252-9834.

Firehouse Subs eyes a site

A new Firehouse Subs franchise group also has The Colony on its list. Chris Raleigh of Serendipity Management Group told What Now Dallas that his group is working on leases for restaurants in The Colony, Denton and north Fort Worth, with its furthest-along site in Roanoke, just off Highway 377.

Raleigh said the group hopes to sign the Roanoke lease within a week or two and start permitting, and expects its first restaurant to open in early 2027. No addresses have been confirmed for the other sites because none of those leases is signed, according to the report.

The franchise agreement, announced Oct. 7, calls for restaurants throughout Denton County. The chain, founded by firefighters, supports first responders through its Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which Raleigh's group plans to support locally.

"We look forward to being great partners to the communities we are serving," Raleigh told the publication.
